*Brethren High School/Middle SchoolKND Elementary Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 – This is the last day for after school suppers. Make sure you go down to the cafeteria at 3:10 today! – Thank you to all that have helped the fifth grade class raise enough money to send a Veteran on a trip this fall with Mid Michigan Honor Flight! As a great community, we made our $500 goal in less than a month! We will present the check on Friday at the assembly.- Any student, staff or class that would like to write a thank you note or letter to a Veteran would be helpful to this group. Mrs. Bradford will be collecting notes up to the end of the year and sending them out to Mid Michigan Honor Flight. These cards and letters are given to the Veterans as they are getting off the plane back in Michigan. They serve as a kind gesture that other people are thinking of them and all they have done to serve and protect our country. Please do NOT date these cards. Their next flight is this fall. SPORTS : – The LakerCats had a nail bitter of a game! The girls were not victorious according to the scoreboard 4-3, but just ask Coach Magee last night was a huge improvement from last Tuesday! LakerCats you make us all proud! Way to go girls! The LakerCats play their FIRST ever HOME District Home Game May 29th, kickoff 5pm against MCE! Come Cheer the girls on to a VICTORY! – Baseball hats for sale, $15. Contact Coach Riggs or any baseball player. – Only the softball team plays on Thursday vs Baldwin. Baldwin does not have a baseball team. – There will be a meeting today during lunch, in the RTC room, for all current 6-11 graders interested in playing football next fall. – Boys basketball players. The camp forms are due today! MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL: – Any student, grades 8-11, who wishes to run for class officer or student council rep needs to pick up nomination form from Mr. Amstutz, fill it out and return it to him by this Friday. – All new NHS members–the sophomores–should come to room 135 for a meeting today. – “SEEDS end of the year party is May 24th at Brethren Park.
